Tag, you're it

Firstly I want to apologize for my lack of words yesterday.

When it was blogging time Mac and I were invested in a lengthy discussion on parenting that covered:

- The definition of normal. I meant normal to mean 'to be expected.' ie, "It's normal to feel that way."

- He meant normal to mean 'mainstream.' ie, "It's a mainstream attitude."

This convo somehow culminated in him telling me I am 'mainstream'. This would perhaps be by the by if not for the fact that Mac prides himself on not being mainstream.

Feeling miffed about this.

Maybe I need to ask him, does he consider my attitudes mainstream or just my reading habits? (He was pointing to a pile of OK! magazines that I am in the process of dismembering as evidence of my mainstreamness.)

Does any of that make sense? Hmm. Seemingly not. So anyway...

Hmm, I've met quite a few 'famous' people as I used to work in media so I think I'll do the weird things as Marley is in my lap and I'm trying to be quick!

1) I eat tomatoes whole, like apples.

2) I walk around the house in underwear and thongs (flip-flops).

3) In winter I wear toe socks with thongs (flip-flops). (Will even wear them to work if I'm allowed.)

4) If I have to spend more than 2 hours in a suburban (as opposed to urban) environment I start to sweat, get a little frantic, and am likely to say things to the inhabitants of said environment I am sure to later regret.

5) For the most part I can only read novels written by women or novels which feature a female protagonist, otherwise I lose interest. There are exceptions such as Nick Hornby and Andre Dubus.

6) I like to relax by cutting pictures out of magazines.

7 ) I like cheesy, dangerous things that masquerade as wholesome. Like like High School Musical & Bratz dolls.
